Some video games get your heart racing and your blood pressure soaring. That’s what makes them thrilling. Others, on the other hand, slow your pulse and guide you into a state of meditative tranquility. These games are equally captivating in their own right.

Frike, the debut Android game from indie developer chakahacka, uniquely blends these two experiences into one compelling package. The objective of Frike is straightforward: survive as long as possible. You control a floating triangle divided into purple, orange, and green segments. The gameplay involves navigating this triangle using two virtual buttons on the left side of the screen to ascend and descend, and a button on the right to rotate your triangular avatar.

Although Frike features only one level, don't be misled into thinking it's a small game. This single level is infinite, ensuring you'll never reach its end. Scattered across Frike’s moody and abstract landscape are blocks in white, purple, orange, and green hues. To accumulate points, you must rotate your triangle so its corners align with and touch blocks of corresponding colors.

Colliding with too many mismatched or white blocks results in your triangle exploding. However, certain blocks contain bonus effects that slow your descent, giving you more time to align with the next block.

Frike exemplifies a minimalist arcade casual game. If you're aiming for a high score, it can be an intense experience, but if you're looking to unwind, you can simply navigate around obstacles and soak in the serene ambiance.

Complementing its minimalist visuals, Frike features a soothing soundtrack filled with echoing chimes and metallic tinkles, enhancing its meditative quality.

If this sounds appealing to you, you can download Frike for free right now on the Google Play Store.
