Following the release of *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, not all the experts at CD Projekt RED chose to remain with the company. Some, drawn to new ventures, embarked on a fresh journey with *The Blood of Dawnwalker*. This new game was recently unveiled by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by a veteran of CD Projekt RED, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz.

Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz shared his reasons for leaving CD Projekt RED, highlighting his desire to explore new horizons with friends. "I wanted to do something different with my friends, so I started Rebel Wolves," he explained. The team at Rebel Wolves has a deep passion for role-playing games and their rich history. However, Tomaszkiewicz believes that the traditional rules of RPGs can be further developed and expanded. "We came up with some wild ideas," he said. Recognizing the challenge of convincing a large corporation to embrace novel concepts and work with brand-new intellectual property, the team realized that the only way to bring their vision to life was to establish their own studio. "Since we're working on some novel solutions, it's actually risky," Tomaszkiewicz admitted.

At Rebel Wolves, the approach to development differs significantly from that of larger studios. "Unlike in large studios where it's more complicated, we work with people and between people [relationships] in our studio," Tomaszkiewicz noted. He believes that a smaller team can achieve more due to the ease of communication and the simplicity of discussing the vision. "Feeling the 'creative fire' and creating something unique is simpler," he concluded, emphasizing the advantages of a more intimate and agile team structure.
