Jan 26,25

Rome's newest attraction: GAMM, the Game Museum! Now open to the public in Piazza della Repubblica, this expansive museum is the culmination of Marco Accordi Rickards' vision. Rickards, a writer, journalist, professor, and CEO of Vigamus, is deeply committed to preserving and celebrating video game history. He describes GAMM as an immersive journey blending historical context, technological innovation, and interactive gameplay.

GAMM builds upon the legacy of Vigamus, another successful Rome-based gaming museum that has attracted over two million visitors since 2012. This new museum boasts 700 square meters across two floors, divided into three captivating thematic areas.

Explore GAMM's Thrilling Exhibits:

  • GAMMDOME: A dynamic digital space featuring interactive exhibits alongside authentic gaming artifacts, including consoles and donated items. This area embodies the 4E concept: Experience, Exhibition, Education, and Entertainment.

  • Path of Arcadia (PARC): Step back in time to the golden age of arcade games! Relive the classics from the late 1970s, 1980s, and a touch of early 1990s nostalgia.

  • Historical Playground (HIP): Delve into the mechanics of game design. This section offers an in-depth look at gameplay structures, interaction mechanics, and design principles – a behind-the-scenes exploration of gaming history.
