As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, the game's lore continues to unveil intriguing secrets, and the combat system evolves with new challenges. Each nation in Genshin Impact introduces two weekly bosses, and the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire stands out as a particularly formidable adversary, perhaps even more so than others. This massive dual-sworded dragon embodies the ancient ruler of Natlan, with Gosoythoth's fearsome presence amplifying its threat. Echoing the Abyss's malevolence and sharing mechanics with Inazuma's Riftwolves, particularly the Corrosion effect, the battle against the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire is challenging but conquerable. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to defeat this imposing boss in Genshin Impact.

Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact

The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire awaits at the Stone Stele Records, a domain located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is within a shrine commemorating those lost in the Natlan battle. Upon entering the domain, players can claim rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three boss encounters of the week.

To access this boss, players must complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, if you wish to bypass the story, you can enter the domain through the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer’s Handbook.

How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact

The key to success in this battle often lies in using regional characters from Natlan, such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire remains mostly stationary but will summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora during the fight. Characters with Nightsoul Blessings can swiftly deal with these summons.

Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing

While it's possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, it will take significantly longer. Utilizing Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina will speed up the process, enabling you to quickly prevent the Dragon's Eroded Meteor strike. Breaking the pillars will immobilize the Dragon for about 10 seconds, giving you a crucial window to inflict damage.

However, if the pillars aren't destroyed quickly enough, you'll need to brace for the meteor attack. Equip a shield and switch to your healer to withstand the Corrosion damage that bypasses even shields. Consistent healers like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, or Bennett are essential here to keep you alive through this onslaught.

Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon

Dodging the Dragon's unpredictable attacks can be challenging, especially when it turns into smoke and moves erratically around the arena. Its sword slashes and smashes can drastically alter the battlefield, reducing your maneuverability. When this happens, staying close to the Dragon and attacking from underneath can be effective, but you must remain cautious of the Corrosion damage from its Eroded Dragon Breath attack.

During this attack, the Dragon impales both swords into the ground, causing Pyro and Erosion damage. You need to be both shielded and healed continuously. If it becomes too intense, move away from the affected area and stay near its hands, as the Dragon Breath doesn't reach there. Also, be prepared for additional sword slashes, and heal immediately if hit to counteract the Erosion effect.

A healer is non-negotiable for this fight, so choose a reliable one to support your team.

Co-Op Mode and Matching

Even without Natlan characters, you can tackle this fight in Co-Op Mode. Teaming up with players who have Nightsoul Blessing characters can significantly ease the Pillar phase. Simply click the 'Match' button upon entering the Domain to join another player's world and take on the boss more effectively.

Fortunately, unlike some previous Weekly Bosses, this fight doesn't have multiple phases, though it does demand a considerable amount of time and strategy to overcome.
