Ghostrunner Creators Announce New Game Title

One More Level, renowned for the critically acclaimed Ghostrunner series, has unveiled a new project: Cyber Slash. This upcoming title marks a significant departure from the studio's fast-paced cyberpunk action, instead venturing into a dark, alternate reimagining of the Napoleonic era.

Ghostrunner, known for its demanding gameplay requiring precision and quick reflexes, averaged impressive scores of 81% and 79% for its first installment, and 80% and 76% for the sequel. Cyber Slash, however, promises a different kind of challenge.

Set in the first half of the 19th century, Cyber Slash will feature epic battles against unknown forces and terrifying threats. While elements like parrying and exploiting enemy weaknesses will remain, the gameplay will move away from the Souls-like formula. The protagonist's evolution through mutations throughout the game is a key feature. This contrasts sharply with the studio's other project, Project Swift, slated for a 2028 release. The newly released image strongly suggests that the artwork pertains to Cyber Slash.
