Based on a game developer's resume, Gotham Knights may be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. This intriguing possibility was highlighted by YouTuber Doctre81 on January 5, 2025.

The resume, belonging to a developer who worked at QLOC from 2018 to 2023, lists Gotham Knights among their projects, specifying it's destined for two unreleased platforms. While one could be the original Nintendo Switch (given a previous, now-removed ESRB rating), performance issues on other consoles cast doubt on this. The second, unreleased platform strongly suggests the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

It's crucial to remember that this is based on unconfirmed information. Neither Warner Bros. Games nor Nintendo have made official announcements. However, with the Nintendo Switch 2 being the only highly anticipated, unreleased console, the speculation is compelling.

The original October 2022 release of Gotham Knights on PS5, Windows, and Xbox Series X was followed by an ESRB rating for the original Nintendo Switch, fueling speculation of a port. This rating has since been withdrawn from the ESRB website.

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa's May 7, 2024 Twitter announcement promised further details on the Switch's successor "within this fiscal year," ending March 2025. He also confirmed backward compatibility with original Switch software and Nintendo Switch Online. The use of physical cartridges remains unconfirmed.
