Alkimia Interactive, the creative minds behind the eagerly awaited Gothic 1 Remake, have opened the doors to a brand-new demo for journalists from various outlets. Originally showcased at Gamescom, this demo is slated to be available to the public in the near future, offering fans a tantalizing preview of what's to come.

This demo acts as an enticing introduction to the full game, presenting a fresh protagonist named Niras, distinct from the original Nameless Hero. As another prisoner arriving in the Miners' Valley, Niras engages with the local inhabitants, laying the groundwork for the expansive narrative that follows.

Back in 2024, Alkimia Interactive unveiled an exclusive prologue demo at Gamescom, centered around Niras' journey into the Colony and his initial encounters with its challenging environment and residents. Soon, this demo will be accessible to all, inviting players from around the globe to immerse themselves in the revamped world of Gothic. Both the demo and the final game have been reconstructed almost entirely from the ground up, ensuring a longer playtime, a more in-depth focus on orcs, and enhanced immersive elements. Fans can look forward to a more enriched and captivating experience than the original game offered.

The latest demo of Gothic 1 Remake will be launched on Steam during the Steam Next Fest event. It will be available for free, starting from the evening of February 24th and running until the evening of March 3rd, after which it will no longer be accessible. The full release of Gothic 1 Remake is scheduled for later this year, and will be available on PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, promising an unforgettable return to the world of Gothic.
