Where to Find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector isn't something you'll stumble upon easily in *Atomfall*. It's not sold by traders or found on random corpses like the Metal Detector. Instead, it's tied to a specific location and a key character, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.

To find Dr. Garrow, start by picking up a lead in Wyndham Village. This will direct you to rescue her from the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor, a challenging area teeming with Protocol soldiers. To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. Assist him with tasks like recovering stolen items to gain favor with Protocol, at least temporarily.

Once ready, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southern border of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southernmost road, behind a giant green door. Navigate through multiple levels, avoiding or eliminating guards and robots. Remember, you can disable B.A.R.D robots to collect their **Atomic Batteries**, crucial for The Interchange.

Reach the bottom level of the prison, past the dig site area. Dr. Garrow is locked in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you need the Signal Redirector, located in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Upon retrieving it, you'll earn the **‘Reverse the Polarity’ trophy/achievement**.

The Signal Redirector is a hacking tool developed by Dr. Garrow, designed to reroute power in yellow junction boxes. This capability is vital for disabling security systems and unlocking storage rooms. When equipped, the Signal Redirector will alert you with an icon at the bottom of your screen when a hackable junction box is nearby. Follow the device's needle to locate the box, which will be highlighted when you're close enough.

To hack, select the 'Hack' button to reroute the junction box's power. If you need to reverse the hack, simply select the 'Hack' button again on the same junction box.
