Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later), but obtaining them requires completing specific tasks. While challenging, acquiring Shiny Keldeo is particularly rewarding, as it was previously unobtainable legitimately and Shiny-locked. Both Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan can then be transferred to other compatible Pokémon games linked to your Home account.

Unlocking Shiny Keldeo in Pokémon Home

To obtain Shiny Keldeo, you must complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Sword & Shield, including entries from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, all Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark (a slanted Poké Ball icon above their stats) indicating they originated from Sword & Shield or its DLC. Completing the Pokédexes in Sword & Shield alone is insufficient. After completing the Pokédex, select "Mystery Gift" from the main menu (accessed via the three-line menu icon).

There's no time limit to claim Shiny Keldeo.

Unlocking Shiny Meltan in Pokémon Home

Similar to Keldeo, acquiring Shiny Meltan requires completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home, using Pokémon from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee. These Pokémon must have the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above their stats). Once the Pokédex is complete, claim Shiny Meltan via the "Mystery Gift" option.

Like Keldeo, there's no deadline for claiming Shiny Meltan.

Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues

Some mobile users experience Pokédex registration problems. To resolve this, clear the Pokémon Home app cache:

1. Open the app and select the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner of the title screen.
2. Choose "Clear Cache."
3. Confirm by tapping "OK." A confirmation message will appear.

This should resolve any registration issues.
