Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features

Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting surprises, innovative gameplay mechanics, and fresh features. Expect the usual three expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all launching soon. The positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, leading to an ambitious roadmap for the year.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena overhaul. In development since last year, this update promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veteran and new players.

Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. Prepare for new Mythic skins and Signature cards. Most excitingly, a brand-new cosmetic category is being introduced: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though details remain under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals commence next week, but in-game celebrations have already started. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic, evolving game board will launch alongside the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each subsequent expansion.
