The Lost City of Un'Goro expansion launches on July 8th

The new card set introduces the Kindred keyword that rewards synergistic play

A substantial Arena update arrives alongside the expansion

While Season 10 of Battlegrounds shook up Hearthstone's tavern brawls, players now anticipate revisiting a beloved location. The Lost City of Un'Goro, Hearthstone's upcoming expansion, debuts July 8th with 145 new cards featuring innovative mechanics, returning elements, and narrative depth set within the prehistoric Un'Goro Crater.

Veteran players will recognize this setting. Hearthstone first ventured into Un'Goro in 2017, but this expansion takes a fresh approach. Players join Loh, a Tortollan explorer, leading an expedition to the long-lost city unaware his guide Umbra harbors secret motives. Elise Starseeker completes the party of familiar characters destined for unexpected discoveries.

The expansion introduces Kindred - a new mechanic that strengthens cards when playing same-type minions or same-school spells consecutively. Legendary Quest cards also return, with each class receiving a unique quest that begins in your opening hand and unlocks powerful rewards upon completion.

New Story and Map cards enhance the expansion's adventurous theme. Story cards recount prior Un'Goro expeditions, while Map cards enable Discover effects - playing your selection immediately earns you another option.

Beyond standard Pre-Purchase and Mega Bundles, Blizzard introduces a Sequence Bundle unlocked after acquiring the first two. The Mega Bundle contains 80 standard packs, 10 golden packs, signature and golden Legendary cards, four Tavern Tickets, and exclusive Umbra cosmetics.

Alongside the expansion comes a major Arena revamp. The redesigned Arena now features skill-based matchmaking for newcomers, while The Underground offers challenging extended runs with greater rewards for experienced players.
