华纳兄弟探索公司证实，他们计划推出动作角色扮演游戏《霍格沃茨之遗》的续作——这款基于哈利·波特的2023年最畅销游戏自发行以来销量已超过2400万份。据《综艺》报道，华纳兄弟探索公司首席财务官冈纳·维登费尔斯在2024年美国银行媒体、通信和娱乐会议上表示，公司打算开发续作。
维登费尔斯表示：“显然，霍格沃茨之遗的续作是未来几年最重要的项目之一。因此，从战略角度来看，游戏业务肯定会有显著的增长贡献。”
