While starting with basic equipment, players progressively discover weapons better suited to their preferred playstyles. Where to Find New Weapons

New weapons are primarily found within Overgrowths. Exploring the game world organically yields new gear, but focusing on sword (Blades) or pistol (Rails) icons on the map directly leads to these weapon types.

Blades are melee weapons with distinct movesets and special abilities, while Rails are ranged weapons, each possessing unique functionalities. Both weapon types have varying rarities, with gold representing the highest rarity and, consequently, the best stats.

Storing and Equipping Weapons

Weapons discovered in Overgrowths can be added to your personal stash using the Cache function instead of immediately equipping them. This allows for loadout customization before subsequent runs.

Obtaining New Starting Weapons

Beyond finding weapons during gameplay, new starting equipment can be purchased from merchants at the Cursed Outpost. Initially, only the Blades merchant is accessible; the Rails merchant requires sufficient materials to repair their shop.

Weapon Upgrades

Weapon upgrades are available from Outpost merchants, but require unlocking the upgrade function by increasing merchant affinity. This is achieved by collecting Golden Rations, a rare resource obtained through exploration or cycle resets. Use Golden Rations judiciously due to their scarcity.

Equipped weapons lose durability (represented by a bar under their icons) upon player death, eventually breaking after repeated failures.
