Fumi Games and PlaySide Studio unveil fresh details on their upcoming title, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire, a first-person shooter boasting a striking 1930s cartoon aesthetic.

Stepping into the shoes of private investigator Jack Pepper, players will unravel intriguing mysteries within a vibrant, jazz-infused world brimming with dynamic action. A key highlight, emphasized on the game's official X account, is the complete absence of microtransactions:

"MOUSE: P.I. For Hire will NOT contain microtransactions. We are creating a stunning single player shooter full of noir atmosphere and explosive combat scenes that we put our hearts into creating."

This commitment to a microtransaction-free experience is noteworthy, particularly within the indie single-player shooter market. The developers' statement serves as a further spotlight on this unique and visually captivating title.

Inspired by the rubber hose animation style prevalent in 1930s cartoons, MOUSE delivers a gritty, noir-infused gameplay experience. Players will navigate a city teeming with mobsters, gangs, and nefarious characters, utilizing an arsenal of weapons, power-ups, and explosives to thwart corrupt politicians and restore order to the chaotic metropolis. The game playfully subverts classic FPS conventions with its quirky weaponry, distinctive health system, and cartoonish enemies.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is slated for a 2025 launch.
