For a long time, the Furnace was one of those Clash Royale cards you could easily forget existed. It was just a passive building on the arena, spawning Fire Spirits every few seconds while you focused on more exciting action elsewhere.

But not anymore!

Starting with Season 74, which launched today, Supercell has decided to make a change. The Furnace has officially been revived in Clash Royale. It's not returning as a building but as a mobile, attacking troop.

This is a second chance for one of the game's earliest cards. The Goblin Hut underwent a similar redesign to become more interactive. But this time, Supercell has completely reimagined the Furnace. It now encourages active play on the battlefield.

While it remains a 4-Elixir Rare card that spawns Fire Spirits, everything else has changed. The Furnace now moves. It attacks from a distance. It can target both air and ground troops, dealing single-target damage from six tiles away.

The Furnace also receives an evolution called Hot Spawns. Instead of generating a Fire Spirit every 5 seconds like before, Hot Spawns reduces that interval to just 1.8 seconds. The Spirits alternate, improving coverage and damage output.

What are your thoughts on the Furnace's return to Clash Royale?

In August, the Furnace is the star of the season. It's showcased on the game's loading screen, complete with new card art, a refreshed frame design, and an updated character model.

Meanwhile, Season 74 also introduces numerous balance changes. Several cards are being nerfed, including Dagger Duchess, Royal Chef, Spear Goblins, Miner, Evolved Skeleton Barrel, Rage, Cannoneer, Evolved Dart Goblin, and Dart Goblin.

On the flip side, Spirit Empress, Phoenix, Zappies, Golem, and Minions are getting buffs. A few other cards are also being reworked. To dive into all these updates, download the game from the Google Play Store.
