AFK Journey Tier List

It's important to note that most characters in AFK Journey are viable for general content. However, certain heroes excel in endgame activities, while others serve better as temporary options. Our tier list evaluates characters based on their versatility, performance in PvE content, Dream Realm effectiveness, and PvP viability.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May's introduction marked the arrival of AFK Journey's most impactful character since Vala's launch banner. This Wilder faction rogue delivers exceptional damage while providing valuable utility, excelling in neutralizing Eironn teams, progressing through AFK stages, and replacing Korin or Marilee in Dream Realm boss fights.

Among tanks, Thoran remains the premier F2P option, particularly for players still developing Phraesto. Speaking of Hypogeans and Celestials, Reinier continues to be the top support priority, finding applications across all game modes. Other essential supports include Koko and Smokey and Meerky, with the latter proving indispensable throughout various content types.

Recent additions Tasi and Harak further strengthen the S-tier roster. Tasi shines as a versatile crowd control specialist across most content, while Harak emerges as a formidable warrior whose power escalates throughout battles, though his acquisition presents challenges for F2P players.

A-Tier Characters

The A-tier features numerous valuable specialists, with particular highlights including Lyca and Vala - both excelling in exploiting the crucial Haste stat. Antandra serves as a reliable tank alternative to Thoran, while Viperian completes effective Graveborn compositions.

Recent roster additions like Alsa, Phraesto, Ludovic, and Sonja have found their niches - Alsa as an accessible mage option, Phraesto as a defensive specialist, Ludovic as the first Graveborn healer, and Sonja as a versatile Lightborne addition.

B-Tier Characters

B-tier represents serviceable options that ultimately yield to higher-tier alternatives. Valen and Brutus offer solid early-game DPS, while Granny Dahnie provides tanking support. Though Arena specialists Arden and Damian perform well in PvP, their general utility remains limited.

More recent additions like Florabelle and Soren provide situational value but fall short of being essential investments, with even established characters like Korin seeing reduced effectiveness following balance changes.

C-Tier Characters

The lowest tier contains characters that quickly become obsolete in later game stages. While Parisa and others might serve temporary purposes early on, they're best replaced as soon as better options become available through summoning.
