Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 will come in two versions: a Japanese-language system, exclusively available in Japan, and a Multi-Language System, available worldwide. The Japanese version is priced at approximately $330, while the Multi-Language System version will cost $449.99, marking a significant price difference of over $100. This variance is largely due to the current exchange rate, with the yen being weaker against the USD, which impacts the pricing for tourists and international buyers in Japan.

Residents of Japan have the option to purchase either version, but the Japanese-language system is strictly for those with a Nintendo Account set to Japan. This version supports only the Japanese language and is limited to software available on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. For those interested in using the Switch 2 in multiple languages, Nintendo recommends opting for the Multi-Language System version. Further details about this version will be disclosed on April 4.
