1. Jurassic Park (1993)

The Jurassic Park series begins with the groundbreaking film that sets the stage for the entire saga. Based on Michael Crichton's novel, the story unfolds on the fictitious island of Isla Nublar, where dinosaurs have been resurrected through the extraction of DNA from prehistoric mosquitoes trapped in amber. Entrepreneur John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) dreams of creating a dinosaur theme park, but his vision is fraught with peril. Paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill), paleobotanist Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are invited to evaluate the park's safety. Accompanied by Hammond's grandchildren, Lex and Tim Murphy, they embark on a tour that turns into a harrowing escape when a tropical storm and sabotage lead to the dinosaurs' release.

2. The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

Set and released four years after the original, The Lost World: Jurassic Park brings back Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) and John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), joined by paleontologist Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore). The story shifts to Isla Sorna, another island where Hammond had cloned dinosaurs, left to roam free after the project was abandoned. A corporate power struggle leads to two factions descending on the island: one, led by Hammond's nephew Peter Ludlow (Arliss Howard), aims to exploit the dinosaurs for profit, while the other, spearheaded by Malcolm, Hammond, and Harding, seeks to establish a nature preserve. Amidst the chaos, a T-Rex is captured and transported to San Diego, where it breaks free, sparking a dramatic urban rampage.
