Legacy XP Tokens Guide for Black Ops 6
With the return of the classic *Call of Duty* Prestige system, the *Black Ops 6* XP grind has seen a surge in popularity. Longtime fans who have played recent *Call of Duty* titles such as *Modern Warfare 3* and *Warzone* may already possess tools to accelerate their progression. One such tool is the Legacy XP Token — here's how to use it effectively in *Black Ops 6.*
What Is a Legacy XP Token in Black Ops 6? Explained
Following the Season 01 update for *Black Ops 6* and *Warzone*, many players noticed the sudden availability of XP tokens in *Black Ops 6* that hadn’t appeared previously. A number of players capitalized on this feature during launch day, rapidly earning XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progress. However, an update released on November 15th addressed this by stating it had "fixed an issue that incorrectly allowed legacy XP tokens to be activated in the *Black Ops 6* UI," according to the official *Call of Duty* Blog.
So what exactly are these Legacy XP Tokens, and why were players able to access them? Legacy XP Tokens refer to any unused XP tokens carried over from previous *Call of Duty* titles accessible through the *COD HQ* app — including *Modern Warfare II*, *Modern Warfare III*, and *Warzone*. These games offered various ways to earn XP tokens, such as completing DMZ Missions, progressing through Battle Pass Tiers, or participating in promotional campaigns with brands like Little Caesar’s and Monster Energy. If you earned tokens through these methods or others, they remain redeemable in *Warzone*. Here’s how you can apply them toward your progress in *Black Ops 6.*
How To Use Warzone XP Tokens in Black Ops 6
At the launch of Season 01, some players found that they could activate Legacy XP Tokens directly within *Black Ops 6*, even though those tokens originated from *Warzone*. Unfortunately, this functionality was later removed temporarily. However, there remains a workaround that allows you to use these Legacy XP Tokens to boost your XP, Weapon XP, and Battle Pass progression in *Black Ops 6.*
The process is relatively simple: if you have available Legacy XP Tokens in *Warzone*, activate them there first. Once activated, switch over to *Black Ops 6,* where the token and its active countdown timer will appear in your user interface. While this method requires toggling between the two games, it still provides a valuable opportunity to speed up your leveling process. Keep in mind that once activated, XP Tokens count down in real time, so timing your gameplay accordingly is key.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. Make sure to take advantage of every XP-boosting option available — including [ttpp] — to climb the ranks faster and dominate the battlefield.
