Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated Lies of P fans to a celebratory message, offering a sneak peek at upcoming DLC and a highly anticipated sequel for the acclaimed steampunk Soulslike game. The message, a blend of gratitude and excitement, highlighted the team's dedication to enhancing the original game's strengths while addressing previously identified issues.

Expanding the World of Lies of P

Choi expressed deep appreciation for the community's support, emphasizing that fan enthusiasm fuels the team's ongoing efforts. The upcoming DLC promises to expand upon the core gameplay elements that made Lies of P a success. The director stated, "For the DLC of Lies of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow."

A key reveal included concept art depicting P in a snowy, desolate environment, gazing towards a mysterious lighthouse. This new setting hints at a challenging and intriguing narrative expansion. Accompanying the art, Choi shared a musical snippet from the DLC's soundtrack, a piece previously composed in 2022 by onoken. The accompanying music video further hints at the DLC's storyline.

Release Date and Future Plans

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 earnings report indicates a launch sometime during the second half of 2024. This release will coincide with other NEOWIZ titles, including The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Previously released concept art showcased two additional environments: a massive industrial complex and a treacherous shipwreck, further hinting at the scope of the upcoming DLC.

Choi concluded his message by assuring fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, emphasizing that this DLC is only the beginning of the Lies of P journey, with a full-fledged sequel already in development.
