The popular MMO Second Life is now available in public beta on iOS and Android! Premium subscribers can access it immediately. While free access isn't yet available, this beta release marks a significant step for the mobile version of this long-running social MMO.

For those unfamiliar, Second Life is a pioneering MMO that predates the current metaverse craze. Instead of combat or exploration, it emphasizes social interaction and user-created content. Players create avatars and live out alternate lives within the game. Released in 2003, Second Life introduced many concepts now commonplace in gaming, including social gaming and user-generated content.
