Netflix recently unveiled the opening trailer for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Devil May Cry, announcing its premiere date alongside. The trailer, set against the iconic track "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, showcases dynamic sequences featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit, packed with nods to the beloved video game series.

Showrunner Adi Shankar shared his vision for the series, revealing that the story is set in the late 90s to early 2000s. Shankar believes the soundtrack perfectly encapsulates the spirit of that era. Fans can expect to hear other tracks from the time, along with a reimagined game soundtrack by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at the future of the anime, suggesting that subsequent seasons will feature distinct visual styles and soundtracks to reflect the diversity of the Devil May Cry games. This statement indirectly confirms plans for more than one season.

While plot details remain under wraps, the first season is set to adapt the manga Code 1: Dante (Devil May Cry 3), where a young demon hunter, Dante, investigates a child's disappearance. This journey will compel him to confront his past, his family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

The inaugural season will comprise 8 episodes and is slated to premiere on April 3, 2025.
