Excitement is building as Magic: The Gathering gears up for its next set, Aetherdrift, which promises an exhilarating multiplanar death race across the multiverse. Magic: The Gathering - 2 New Cards from Aetherdrift

First up, we have the Cloudspire Coordinator, an uncommon creature that embodies the essence of the red-white color pairing in Aetherdrift. This card represents the Cloudspire Racing Team from the plane of Kylem, first introduced in Magic's 2018 set, Battlebond. The Cloudspire Coordinator is all about racing and piloting vehicles, with a power of 3 that allows it to crew vehicles directly. Additionally, its activated ability lets you create Pilot token creatures to take the wheel, adding a strategic layer to your red-white deck during an Aetherdrift draft.
The second card we're excited to reveal is the rare enchantment, Count on Luck. This 3-mana card with an all-red-pip casting cost introduces "impulse draw" to your mono-red deck. At the start of each of your turns, you'll exile the top card of your library, which you can then play during that turn. It's a straightforward yet powerful mechanic that can give you a continuous stream of new cards, as long as you're ready to use them immediately.
We also have a sneak peek at Count on Luck in its extended-art and First-Place Foil versions. While the extended-art version expands the artwork by removing the card frame on the sides, the First-Place Foils introduce a dazzling new feature to Aetherdrift. These golden cards are exclusive to a randomized buy-a-box promo pack included with every Aetherdrift box, and they'll be available for all the rares in the set, along with 10 full-art lands.
Aetherdrift is set to launch on February 14, with prereleases starting on February 7. To dive deeper into the set's mechanics, you can find more information here.
