Marvel Reportedly Pauses Work on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. TV Shows
Marvel Television has recently hit the pause button on the development of three highly anticipated shows: Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. According to sources at Deadline, these projects were never officially greenlit, and while there's still a possibility they could see the light of day, Marvel has decided to shift its focus elsewhere.
This strategic pivot coincides with Marvel Studios gearing up for the launch of the Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again. In a recent revelation, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming and TV, shared insights into the studio's plans to possibly bring back the street-level heroes from the Netflix era, including Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, collectively known as The Defenders.

Marvel Studios is now adopting a strategy of developing more shows than it ultimately produces. As Brad Winderbaum mentioned in an interview with Screen Rant last year, "We're really being careful about what we choose to do next." This cautious approach reflects Marvel's intent to refine its content strategy for maximum impact.
The news about Nova pausing production comes as a surprise, especially since just two months ago, it was announced that Ed Bernero, former showrunner of Criminal Minds, was set to lead the project as both writer and showrunner. Nova was confirmed as a series set to stream on Disney+. For more detailed information on Nova, check out IGN’s comprehensive article.
Strange Academy was slated to explore the adventures at a magic school founded by the MCU's Doctor Strange, with Wong taking on the role of headmaster. Details about Terror, Inc. remain scarce.
As for confirmed releases, fans can look forward to the following Marvel TV shows on Disney+: Daredevil: Born Again premiering on March 4, Ironheart on June 24, and Wonder Man slated for December. On the film front, three MCU movies are scheduled for this year following the release of Captain America: Brave New World: Thunderbolts in May and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
