Learn the Core Match-3 Gameplay Mechanics of Modern Community

Match-3 gameplay comes into play whenever you take on tasks for community members in Modern Community. This section explains exactly how it works. Your main play area is in the center of the screen, while your avatar and power-ups appear on the left and right sides. In the middle, you’ll see a variety of colored tiles—green, blue, red, and yellow. Matching tiles of the same color destroys all the tiles directly beneath them. You can only match three or more tiles of the same color by swiping them vertically or horizontally so they align with other matching tiles.

The Community Pass

Modern Community's Community Pass works much like battle passes or seasonal passes in other mobile games. If you're not familiar with the idea, it’s basically a list of quests you complete daily and seasonally. These quests refresh every day, and finishing them gives you pass experience to level up. There are two versions of the pass—Free and Paid. Each offers different rewards, with the paid version naturally including more premium items. Even on the free pass, however, you can earn plenty of coins, boosters, extra moves, and other useful resources.
