Relive the thrill of classic arcade action! HaoPlay Limited's highly anticipated title, Metal Slug: Awakening, is set for a global launch on July 18th, 2024, and pre-registration is now open.
This modern iteration of the iconic 90s franchise boasts updated visuals and gameplay mechanics while staying true to its roots. Initially revealed in 2020 by TiMi Studios as Metal Slug Code: J, the game has undergone development and name changes before its Southeast Asian release in late 2023.
For the uninitiated, Metal Slug is a celebrated Japanese run-and-gun series, first launched in 1996 by Nazca Corporation, and since expanded into a multimedia franchise. While previous mobile entries like Metal Slug Defense (2014), Metal Slug Attack (2016), and Metal Slug Commander (2020) exist, Metal Slug: Awakening promises a significant upgrade.
