Metaphor: ReFantazio Party Member Recruitment Guide: A Detailed Timeline

Beyond the protagonist, seven companions will join your adventuring party in Metaphor: ReFantazio. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat participation is limited initially. Each party member joins on specific days during story events. Note: Reading this guide may reveal minor story spoilers regarding party member recruitment.

Party Member Recruitment Schedule:

Each party member awakens to their unique Archetype, usable by other party members once unlocked. Early party members may be initially AI-controlled before gaining full player control upon Archetype awakening.

• Strohl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th (6/5) during the Border Fort events. Awakens and becomes fully controllable on June 6th (6/6) at the Nord Mines.

• Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, but becomes a controllable party member on June 6th (6/6) after Strohl's awakening. Grius does not undergo an Archetype awakening like other characters.

• Hulkenberg (Knight): Begins interacting with the party on June 10th (6/10). Awakens and joins the party fully on June 11th (6/11) during a boss fight.

• Heismay (Thief): Heismay's awakening and party recruitment occur on July 4th (7/4) within Martira's main dungeon.

• Junah (Masked Dancer): Junah joins the party after her awakening on August 13th (8/13).

• Eupha (Summoner): Eupha's recruitment is more flexible. Completing the Dragon Temple Dungeon between August 19th (8/19) and September 4th (9/4) during Viraga Island's free time period adds her to the party for the final boss fight. Her Bond quest begins after this period.

• Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins the party on September 11th (9/11) during Saint's Day events. He becomes fully usable in combat the following day, if desired.
