Conquering the Faithwight Magileto in Metaphor: ReFantazio

Metaphor: ReFantazio's dungeons often feature formidable mini-bosses, and the Faithwight Magileto in the Spire of Blind Faith is a prime example. This challenging foe requires strategic preparation and a bit of luck to overcome.

This level 50 enemy can summon additional level 50 enemies. Engaging below level 45 is strongly discouraged.

The Faithwight Magileto utilizes potent dark and light magic, both single-target and AoE (Megidolaon). These attacks are amplified by passive buffs. It also employs Soul Scream for extra Press Turn icons and summons level 50 skeletons.

These summoned skeletons possess strong slashing attacks, dark magic, potent buffs, and access to powerful healing spells, often restoring the Magileto to full health. Their weakness lies in Strike attacks. Victory hinges on prioritizing these attacks.

Strategies for Defeating the Faithwight Magileto

Even at level 50, this battle is incredibly difficult. Below that level, it's nearly impossible. Preparation is key:

  • Acquire Dark Dodge (Magic Knight) and Light Dodge (Healer).
  • Skill Inherit Strike skills (Brawler).
  • Utilize Archetypes resistant to Dark and Light (Warlock, Thief).
  • Prepare Tetrabreak to counter Tetrakarn (summoned enemy ability).

Archetype selection is flexible, but prioritize those resistant to Dark, Light, and Slash damage, maximizing the points above. Strength-heavy Archetypes are ideal with Skill Inheritance. Equip at least two party members with party-wide healing spells and ensure everyone has a Strike attack to maximize Press Turn Icons and mitigate damage.

Expect some element of chance; consecutive Megidolaons are nearly unsurvivable. Dark and Light Dodge on most party members will help mitigate damage and shorten enemy turns. Eliminate summoned allies swiftly before they heal the Magileto. Dekaja can dispel enemy buffs. Aim for at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells per turn.
