MGS Delta Peep Demo Theater Returning As Revealed by ESRB Rating

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (MGS Delta) has recently been rated by the ESRB, and it's clear that the developers are staying true to the original game by bringing back the Peep Demo Theater. MGS Delta has been given an M for Mature rating, and the ESRB's detailed summary confirms the return of this notable feature.

In the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’s Subsistence and HD Collection versions, the Peep Demo Theater offers players the chance to watch all the game's cutscenes featuring the female spy, EVA, in her underwear. Players can freely control the camera, zooming in on any part of her body. To access this feature, players must first collect all other cutscenes in the Demo Theater, which requires completing the game four times.

While the M for Mature rating is expected, given the game's focus on an elite soldier combating special forces behind enemy lines, the return of the Peep Demo Theater, often dubbed "Creepy mode," has taken many fans by surprise. This feature's explicit and controversial nature was not anticipated to make a comeback in the modern remake.

Faster Camouflage System

Additionally, MGS Delta introduces a streamlined camouflage system, as revealed by METAL GEAR OFFICIAL on Twitter (X) on March 28. The post showcased a video demonstrating the new, swift camouflage switching feature, stating, "Change camouflage for faces, uniforms, and more on the fly with this new feature in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER."

The video reveals that players can now switch their camouflage in under three seconds, a significant improvement over the original MGS3, where changing camouflage was a slow process involving pausing the game, navigating menus, and selecting options. This enhancement is expected to improve the game's pacing and immersion, especially during stealth segments.

As the release date of MGS Delta approaches on August 26, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, fans are eagerly anticipating this remake. With the return of classic features like the Peep Demo Theater and quality-of-life improvements like the faster camouflage system, the game promises an enhanced playthrough experience.
