Microsoft has confirmed its plans for June 2025, announcing both an Xbox Games Showcase and a dedicated The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. The Xbox Games Showcase is set to be a livestream event on Sunday, June 8, starting at 10am Pacific Time, 1pm Eastern Time, and 6pm UK time. This showcase will highlight upcoming titles from Microsoft’s first-party studios as well as exciting new games from third-party partners worldwide.

The event promises a sneak peek into Microsoft's extensive lineup of games in development. Fans can look forward to updates on titles like the new Fable, now delayed to 2026, the Perfect Dark reboot, inXile’s Clockwork Revolution, Ninja Gaiden 4, Contraband from the Just Cause developers, Rare's Everwild, The Coalition's Gears of War: E-Day, Hideo Kojima’s OD, and Undead Labs' State of Decay 3. Double Fine is also working on a new game, adding to the anticipation.

On the Activision Blizzard front, a new Call of Duty game is expected later in the year, alongside various releases from Blizzard. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, launching in July, might also be featured. Bethesda enthusiasts might finally get news on what's next for Starfield, including a possible PlayStation 5 release date, and perhaps a glimpse of The Elder Scrolls 6.

While new Xbox hardware, such as the next-gen console and an Xbox handheld expected in 2027, might be too early to reveal, Microsoft could discuss Xbox-branded handhelds from third-party companies.
