Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has surged to the top as Capcom's fastest-selling game, breaking records with over 8 million units sold within three days of its launch. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, highlighting MH Wilds' historic milestone.

The game's success is further evidenced by its performance on Steam, where it reached over 1.3 million concurrent players, according to SteamDB. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the game's popularity is undeniable. Capcom credits this success to their strategic promotion efforts, including showcasing the game at global video game events and conducting an open beta test that allowed players to experience MH Wilds firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

In response to player feedback, Capcom has released a crucial update for Monster Hunter Wilds. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.

This update tackles several bugs that were hindering player progress, including issues with the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as expected, the Monster Field Guide being inaccessible, and a critical bug that blocked story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to update the game to continue enjoying online play.

However, not all issues have been resolved yet. Some bugs, such as network errors when firing an SOS flare after a quest begins and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks not inflicting stun and exhaust damages, remain unaddressed. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be fixed in an upcoming patch.
