New Monster Outbreaks Feature Tested in Monster Hunter Now

May 12,25

Excitement is brewing in the world of Monster Hunter Now, where Niantic is currently testing a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This trial run is designed to gather player feedback and refine the feature before its official release. Let's dive into what you need to know about this upcoming event.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

Mark your calendars! The Monster Outbreaks testing phase is scheduled for April 26th to 27th. Each day, you can participate in two sessions: from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. This gives you ample opportunity to join in on the action over the weekend.

During these events, specific outbreak points on the map will be swarmed by 8-star Black Diablos. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to team up with other players and take down a total of 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Remember, this count is specific to each outbreak spot, not a global tally!

To participate, you must be at least Hunter Rank 11 (HR 11). Note that the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a special icon. Once you locate one, you can tap on it to view details and even sign up on a roster to coordinate with other hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of this event are fascinating. If you and three other hunters successfully take down a single monster, it contributes four to the overall goal of 100. And if your group manages to reach this target before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.

Completing the challenge comes with some enticing rewards. If your team hits the 100-monster mark, you'll earn 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you use the sign-up roster, you'll be eligible to receive the special Outbreak Test I Medal.

Interested in joining the fray? Download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and get ready to participate in the Monster Outbreaks testing over the weekend. This is your chance to provide valuable feedback and help shape this exciting new feature!
