Naruto x Boruto Mobile Game Ends Service

Dec 14,24

Bandai Namco confirms the closure of its popular mobile game, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, a fortress strategy action RPG. This isn't entirely unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of its predecessor, Naruto Blazing.

Shutdown Date and Final Events:

Launched in 2017, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage will officially shut down on December 9th, 2024. Players can still enjoy several upcoming events before the end:

  • Village Leader World Championship: October 8th - 18th
  • All-Out Mission: October 18th - November 1st
  • "Thanks For Everything" Campaign: November 1st - December 1st

During this period, players can continue collecting Ninja Cards, participate in summoning events, and utilize in-game items. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins before the shutdown.

Reasons for Closure:

While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's decline began around its mid-life. The introduction of powerful characters like Minato fueled a "power creep" that alienated players. This, coupled with increasingly overt pay-to-win mechanics, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features, ultimately led to the game's demise. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those who wish to try it.
