Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, participation is limited to mainland China. However, fans worldwide can still follow the game's progress as it approaches release.

Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details, which shouldn't surprise those familiar with the Eibon city trailers (see below). The updates reveal a more comedic narrative and showcase the intriguing blend of bizarre and ordinary elements within the game's Hetherau setting.

Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive 3D RPG market increasingly focused on urban environments. Neverness to Everness distinguishes itself with several unique features.

A standout feature is open-world driving. Players can enjoy high-speed city chases (responsibly, of course!), customizing and purchasing a variety of vehicles. Realistic crash physics add to the immersive experience.

Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face strong competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both setting high benchmarks in the mobile 3D open-world RPG genre.
