Nintendo Japan announced a postponement of the Alarmo's general release, originally scheduled for February 2025. The delay is attributed to production and inventory limitations. The new release date is currently unannounced. There's no word yet on whether this affects international availability, with a global launch still planned for March 2025.

In the interim, Nintendo is implementing a pre-order system exclusively for Japanese Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. Pre-orders open mid-December, with shipments beginning in early February 2025. The exact pre-order start date will be announced separately.

Nintendo's Popular Alarm Clock

Launched globally in October, the Alarmo is a gaming-themed alarm clock featuring music from popular Nintendo franchises: Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, and RingFit Adventure, with more soundtracks promised via updates.

Its immediate popularity overwhelmed Nintendo, leading to the suspension of online orders and a lottery system for purchases. The Alarmo quickly sold out in Japanese and New York Nintendo stores.
