Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack: Four Retro Gems Arrive

Battletoads/Double Dragon, Big Run, and More!

First up: the iconic crossover, Battletoads/Double Dragon. Team up with the Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers to battle the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters – Billy and Jimmy Lee, and the amphibian trio Zitz, Pimple, and Rash.

Originally released on NES in June 1993 and later ported to SNES in December of the same year, this marks a long-awaited return for Battletoads/Double Dragon.

Next, dive into the dodgeball arena with Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). This fast-paced game features Kunio-kun from the River City series. Compete against rival teams in various locations, from indoor stadiums to outdoor beaches, each with unique challenges.

Originally released for the Super Famicom in August 1993.

Puzzle fans will appreciate Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. This Tetris- and Puyo Puyo-style game challenges players to clear lines of containers and Cosmos. Choose from 1P Mode (solo), VS Mode (head-to-head), or 100 Stage Mode for a serious test of skill. Match containers horizontally and use blue orbs to remove Cosmos.

Initially released in arcades in 1992, then ported to Super Famicom in 1993, Cosmo Gang the Puzzle has seen releases on various platforms, including Wii, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.

Finally, experience the thrill of Big Run! Race across diverse African landscapes, from Tripoli to West Africa's swamps, in nine intense stages. Strategy and resource management are key – choose your sponsor, build your team, and manage your vehicle's condition.

Big Run first debuted on the Super Famicom in 1991.
