Path of Exile 2 boasts a wealth of quests, some more hidden than others. A prime example? The five Golden Idols scattered throughout Act 3. These items are classified as Quest Items, but their function is quite unique.

Unlike typical Quest Items that advance a questline upon delivery to an NPC, Golden Idols offer a different reward: a hefty sum of gold. Collecting them won't trigger a quest in your log; instead, they're valuable sellable items.

How to Find the Golden Idols in Path of Exile 2

After exploring the ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through the time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal, the once-magnificent Vaal city (now known as The Drowned City). Here, and in the connected area of Aggorat, lie the five Golden Idols.

Don't get sidetracked by the impressive sights of Utzaal; your treasure hunt awaits! Three idols are hidden within Utzaal itself, while the remaining two are located in Aggorat.

These idols are typically found on the ground or pedestals in side rooms, not as enemy drops.

What to Do With Your Golden Idols in PoE 2

Here's the payout:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five will net you a cool 6000 Gold! Since they're only valuable for their gold, consider selling them after each find to free up inventory space.
