This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable additions: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep

The holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Expect boosted encounter rates and bonus Dream Shards throughout the event. Shiny versions will also be available.

Pawmi spawns on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant, starting December 23rd at 3 PM. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot are Snoozing-type Pokémon. Achieving a Snoozing sleep type (a common, light sleep) significantly increases your chances of encountering them. A Balanced sleep type offers a lower chance.

Catching Alolan Vulpix

Alolan Vulpix, appearing exclusively on Snowdrop Tundra from December 23rd at 3 PM, is rarer. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails are Slumbering-type Pokémon, requiring a deep sleep (at least 8 hours) for optimal encounter rates. A Balanced sleep type also has a possibility, though less likely.

For the best chance at both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, target Snowdrop Tundra. However, be aware that this island often has higher team requirements, so preparation is key.
