The announcement was accompanied by Nvidia's "RTX Announce Trailer," confirming the game's release date. BioWare's commitment to delivering an optimal PC experience is evident, given that the Dragon Age series originated on this platform. "The Dragon Age franchise started out on PC, and we wanted to make sure PC is a great place to play our game," the studio stated. To ensure this, BioWare dedicated approximately 200,000 hours to performance and compatibility testing on PCs, which constituted 40% of their total platform testing efforts.

Moreover, BioWare invested nearly 10,000 hours in user research to perfect controls and UI functions across various setups. Players can look forward to native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptic feedback, as well as support for Xbox controllers and keyboard and mouse configurations. The game also allows players to switch between controllers and keyboard/mouse setups during gameplay or in menus. Additionally, The Veilguard introduces customizable class-specific keybinds for a more personalized control experience.
