Pikmin Bloom is set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic has some exciting nostalgic surprises in store. The festivities will kick off with a special event starting on May 1st, 2025, that's sure to delight long-time fans of Nintendo.

The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!

Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has introduced a variety of delightful decor, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. To mark its 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back the iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s, offering a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced, paying homage to Nintendo's origins in the playing card industry before they ventured into video games. These cards are designed based on Nintendo's classic playing card decks, adding a touch of vintage charm to your Pikmin collection.

The event, running from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, gives you an entire month to engage in event missions and collect these unique new Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random goodies like Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.

During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear, and smashing these will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other exciting items. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at tackling these mushrooms, so make sure to use them to maximize your rewards.

Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May

May brings a variety of beautiful flowers to Pikmin Bloom, including carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and special anniversary roses. You can cultivate these flowers by planting red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.

A new nectar update will also be introduced, allowing fruit from mushrooms during May to produce nectar for both regular and special flowers like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
