Pokémon Go sees every Community Day Pokémon return for end-of-year Catch-a-thon
Niantic is launching a special end-of-year Catch-a-thon event in Pokémon Go, giving players another chance to catch Community Day Pokémon and earn exclusive rewards, including shiny versions of featured Pokémon!
This event takes place on Saturday, December 21st, and Sunday, December 22nd, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time. Here's the lineup:
- December 21st: Bellsprout, Chansey, Goomy, Rowlet, Litten, and Bounsweet will be featured, with shiny possibilities.
- December 22nd: Mankey, Ponyta, Galarian Ponyta, Sewaddle, Tynamo, and Popplio will be featured, with shiny possibilities.
During the final ten minutes of each hour, players can encounter Porygon, Cyndaquil, Bagon, and Beldum. The event also boasts 2x XP for catching Pokémon and 2x Stardust, plus numerous other rewards.
This year has been huge for Pokémon Go, with significant updates like Gigantamax Pokémon. This Catch-a-thon serves as a fitting finale to a busy year, offering a final chance for community engagement before the holidays. Even with the holiday season approaching, dedicated Pokémon Go players are sure to appreciate this extra opportunity.
