Niantic has kicked off the exciting Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offering trainers in Chile and India a unique opportunity to influence their local gaming environment while earning exclusive in-game rewards. By participating in the review and approval of Wayspot nominations via the Niantic Wayfarer platform, you play a crucial role in adding new PokéStops and Gyms to the Pokémon Go map, all while progressing towards special milestone rewards.

The Wayfarer Challenge is scheduled to run from March 7th to 9th in Chile and from March 10th to 12th in India. During these dates, you're encouraged to nominate real-world points of interest—such as landmarks, sculptures, street art, and more—as potential PokéStops and Gyms.

Your contribution to reviewing nominations helps the community hit milestone goals. If the collective effort results in 5,000 resolved nominations, everyone who participates will be rewarded with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Should the community surpass this and reach 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To join in, you need to be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have an account with Niantic Wayfarer. New users will need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before diving into the nomination reviews.

Eligibility for the rewards requires that you've recently played in Chile or India or have set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. Additionally, to claim these rewards, you must review a minimum of 50 nominations, and the community must achieve at least one milestone.

Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusive to Chile and India. During this event, visiting newly added PokéStops will grant you 3x XP for your first visit, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and a higher chance of encountering Kecleon. Engage in Event Field Research to encounter Eevee, and take on Timed Research for the chance to catch other Pokémon.
