Get ready for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Black and White Kyurem, along with a Shiny Meloetta, are making their Pokémon GO debut. This guide details how to obtain and fuse these legendary Pokémon.

Black and White Kyurem Arrive

Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic has confirmed the arrival of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta for the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st to 23rd, 2025, attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in special events.

To obtain Kyurem, players must defeat either Black or White Kyurem in five-star raids. Once caught, Kyurem can be fused with either Zekrom or Reshiram:

• Black Kyurem: Requires 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy.
• White Kyurem: Requires 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy.

Fusion Energies are earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base Kyurem form is free. Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom have increased encounter rates during the event.

The global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global, runs from March 1st to 2nd, 2025, and is free for all players.

Shiny Meloetta's Grand Entrance

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event attendees can complete a Masterwork Research task to encounter this Pokémon. The research doesn't expire, allowing for flexible completion.

Unova's Legendary Trio and Beyond

Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White, the fifth generation of Pokémon games. Black and White 2 introduced Kyurem's alternate forms, capable of learning Ice Burn and Freeze Shock, mirroring their Pokémon GO counterparts. This limited-time event brings the full Unova experience to Pokémon GO.
