Pokémon GO Adventure Week returns for 2025, launching on July 29th at 10:00 AM and continuing through August 3rd until 8:00 PM. This year's celebration introduces fresh faces alongside the familiar Rock and Fossil-types from previous events. Discover all the exciting details below.

Who are the debutants?

The spotlight shines on two Paldean Pokémon inspired by classic Kanto designs. Toedscool, a mushroom-like creature that mirrors Tentacool, debuts alongside its evolution, Toedscruel. You can evolve Toedscool by collecting 50 Toedscool Candy. Also making a grand entrance is Wiglett, the long, eel-like relative of Diglett, which is now available in its Shiny form for the very first time.

Adventure Week 2025 features different Pokémon spawns based on your surroundings, encouraging exploration to complete your collection. In urban cityscapes, look for Snubbull, Trubbish, Elgyem, and Sizzlipede, with Espurr appearing rarely. All but Sizzlipede have a chance to be Shiny.

Forest and grassland areas will be home to Skwovet, Smoliv, Figoudh, and Tadbulb, with Toedscool as an uncommon find. Mountainous regions feature Hippopotas, Drilbur, and Rufflet (all with Shiny variants available), while Gligar appears less frequently.

Near beaches, lakes, and rivers, you can find Inkay, Mareanie, Dewpider, Sandygast, and Wiglett—each with the potential to be encountered as a Shiny Pokémon.

Earn double XP

Every Pokémon catch during the event rewards double XP. Additionally, all activated Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for two hours. Completing Field Research tasks grants Stardust, Rare Candy, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.

A free Timed Research questline is also available, offering rewards like one Incense, four Rare Candy, and several themed Pokémon encounters. If you haven't joined the adventure yet, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store.
