The highly anticipated sequel, Predator: Badlands, has just unveiled its teaser trailer, stirring excitement among sci-fi and action fans. The teaser introduces us to Elle Fanning's character, seemingly a resident of a perilous, distant planet in the future. Apart from showcasing a new take on the Predator, the trailer includes intriguing nods to the Alien universe, hinting at possible connections to the Aliens vs Predator series. Fans have noticed Elle Fanning's eyes resembling the Weyland Yutani reboot seen in Alien: Romulus, leading to speculation that her character might be a synthetic. Additionally, a glimpse of the Weyland Yutani logo on a damaged vehicle further fuels these theories.

Predator: Badlands was first announced in February 2024, with its release date confirmed in October of the same year. The trailer, which debuted exclusively at CinemaCon earlier this month, is now available for fans to preview the film's direction.

20th Century Studios provided an official synopsis: "In the future on a remote planet, a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary."

Elle Fanning shared insights at CinemaCon, saying, "Something unprecedented happens in this movie. My character is not the one being chased. My character actually teams up with the Predator. And you get to see him in a completely new light. And... I'll stop there!"

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, renowned for 10 Cloverfield Lane and the Predator prequel Prey, and co-written with Patrick Aison, Predator: Badlands is slated to premiere in theaters on November 7, 2025.
