Should You Help Prochek or Olbram in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2? (Mice & Frogs Quest Guide)

Mar 17,25

Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter branching side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov, requiring you to choose between aiding Prochek or Olbram. This guide clarifies whether you can support both and which choice might be more advantageous.

Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?

Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in a bitter rivalry. Fortunately, you can largely complete quests for both Prochek and Olbram. While a completely satisfying outcome for both is impossible, pursuing both questlines reveals a richer understanding of the game's lore and characters.

Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?

If forced to choose, there's little practical difference. Both aim to sabotage the other; the selection boils down to personal preference for the quest's mechanics.

Olbram tasks you with stealing Zhelejov's maypole, requiring nighttime stealth and potentially charming a guard. Prochek's task involves painting Olbram's bull blue, demanding a recipe from Radovan and dye from the tailor.

Prochek's quest might prove more challenging early in the game, particularly if your Speech skill and groschen are low. Olbram's quest may offer a smoother initial experience. Both questlines are detailed below.

How to Start "Mice" for Prochek in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

Speak to Prochek in Tachov. If you can't locate him, inquire at the local inn.

Obtaining the Dye and Lullaby Potion

Ingredients for the Lullaby Potion

Purchase dye from Bartoshek, the tailor in Troskowitz. For the lullaby potion, either apprentice under Radovan (the blacksmith in Tachov) to learn the recipe, or charm him into revealing it. The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle—easily gathered from the apothecary garden in Troskowitz.

Once brewed, head to Zhelejov, administer the potion to the bull, and paint it. Report back to Prochek. You can then initiate Olbram's quest to further explore the conflict.

How to Start "Frogs" for Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

Find Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov and agree to steal the Tachov maypole to begin his quest.

Stealing the Maypole

Proceed to Tachov in the evening. Henrik guards the maypole. You can either knock him unconscious or, with sufficient Speech, persuade him to leave his post by arranging a date with Manka. Once Henrik departs, climb the maypole and cut it down.

Return to Olbram; he'll reward you and assign another task—driving sheep from a Tachov pasture and delivering a digestive potion to Alshik. At this point, you can either complete this task or inform Prochek of Olbram's plan, concluding both quests.
