Let's explore how you can get involved and what this new game means for the beloved franchise.
Project NET Pre-Registration Now Open
On March 3, 2025, the developers of Project NET announced on their official South East Asian (SEA) Twitter (X) account that pre-registration for this upcoming mobile game is now open. To join the excitement, simply visit Project NET’s official SEA website and click the Pre-Register button. You'll need to provide your email address and choose your preferred device, either iOS or Android. The game is also available for pre-registration on the official Russian (RU) website.
SEA Shock Point Test Recruitment for Philippines Only
In addition to pre-registration, Project NET has opened registration for its "Shock Point Test" beta, as announced on their SEA Twitter (X) account on March 4, 2025. This test is exclusively for players in the Philippines and will be conducted on Android devices. It's important to note that this will be a limited-access, non-monetized test, with all data being wiped post-test. Similarly, a Shock Point Test will be available in Russia, with more details on the RU website. The developers are actively working to optimize the game for a broader global rollout.
For those interested in participating in the SEA Shock Point Test, you can expect to receive confirmation emails between March 24, 2025, and March 26, 2025, after completing the recruitment questionnaire. The testing period will be announced later, with qualifications being distributed throughout.
Project NET First Announced in December 2024
Sunborn Network, the masterminds behind the hit mobile game Girls' Frontline, announced Project NET on December 27, 2024. This new third-person shooter game conducted its first localized initial test in SEA countries from January 9, 2025, to January 16, 2025, covering Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
The Girls' Frontline franchise, which debuted in 2016 as a strategy RPG gacha game for mobile, has since expanded its universe with an anime series and other games. Its sequel, Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium, hit the market on December 5, 2024. As Project NET is based on the series, fans can look forward to seeing familiar characters and aesthetics within the new game.
While there's no official release date for Project NET yet, the game is set to launch on both iOS and Android, reflecting the devices used in its initial test. Stay tuned for more updates as the game progresses toward its global release!
