PSA: Early Battlefield 6 Footage Seems to Have Leaked Online

Leaked gameplay footage from EA's upcoming Battlefield game has surfaced online, following a closed playtest. According to TheGamer, a Twitch streamer, anto_merguezz, streamed footage from the Battlefield Labs playtest. While the stream itself is no longer available on the streamer's page, recordings have circulated online, primarily via Reddit.

PlayThe leaked footage seemingly confirms the game's modern setting, previously hinted at by Vince Zampella, differentiating it from other Battlefield titles with historical or futuristic settings. The footage showcases firefights and the game's destructible environments. Initial fan reaction appears positive, a welcome change after the lukewarm reception of Battlefield 2042.

Last month's official unveiling revealed some details about the next Battlefield installment, including the return of a traditional, linear single-player campaign—a feature notably absent from Battlefield 2042. This has been met with enthusiasm from players.

EA anticipates launching the new Battlefield game in fiscal year 2026 (April 2025 – March 2026). With the launch approaching, we can expect more official reveals soon. Given the current leak, keeping Battlefield 6 (or its eventual title) under wraps may prove increasingly difficult for EA.

IGN has contacted EA for comment.
