The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) is officially underway, with over 90,000 competitors registered for the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. The Open Qualifiers kicked off on February 13th, providing a golden opportunity for new talent to ascend the ranks and secure a spot in the PMGO Main Event. With an impressive $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams are set to battle through multiple rounds to prove their mettle against established PUBG Mobile Esports organizations. This tournament, exclusively open to amateurs, ensures that fresh talent gets the spotlight it deserves.

Teams boasting at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already clinched a spot in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, emerging squads will fiercely compete for a place in the PMGO Prelims, where they will face off against the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.

From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the privilege to challenge PUBG Mobile’s elite professionals at the PMGO Main Event. As for the main event, four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their places based on their stellar performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Four additional squads will join them from various regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.

The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This tournament marks the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to make a comeback later in 2025.
