What Recharge Drones Do

In R.E.P.O., while some items like Mines and Grenades are single-use, others come with a "battery life" that can be rejuvenated using Energy Crystals. As you embark on your journey, you'll encounter a container-type object in your truck, which is essential for recharging your weapons or drones, albeit at the cost of one Energy Crystal.

Upon purchasing additional Energy Crystals, they are seamlessly integrated into the container, eliminating the need for manual installation. To recharge an item, simply place it in the yellow bucket adjacent to the container, and watch it regain its vitality. This process is crucial for maintaining your gear in prime condition, readying you for the onslaught of monsters in subsequent levels.

However, the intensity of some levels can cause your items to wear down rapidly. While you can recharge them at designated spots using Energy Crystals, you won't always have your truck nearby. This is where the Recharge Drone becomes an indispensable ally, enabling you to manage your items' energy on the move.

How to Get and Use the Recharge Drone in R.E.P.O.

The Recharge Drone, like other items and upgrades, can be found at the Service Station, which you reach after successfully completing a level. Here, you can equip yourself with the necessary tools to ease your next challenge, provided you have the funds.

Given that items at the Service Station spawn randomly, it might take several visits for the Recharge Drone to appear, but patience will pay off as it eventually shows up, priced between $4-5K. This compact cube occupies one inventory slot, so be sure to assign it to slot 1, 2, or 3 upon purchase.

You'll notice your item's battery level diminishing via the bar underneath it. To recharge, select the drone, activate it by pressing 'E', and attach the depleted item. Let the Recharge Drone work its magic! Once the drone's battery runs out, you can recharge it using Energy Crystals in your truck's container.
